Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

So I have been super bad about keeping up on the blog. I got a few things posted but I really haven't done anything exciting or major this semester. Ok, maybe I should take that back, one major thing happened but there are no pictures to document it ;)
Anyways, here is a little about what I've been up to these past few weeks, nothing too exciting but here ya go....

1. I've made a couple trips to Benson with my friend Lindsey. We usually just go for a day trip to visit her Grandma. It's always nice to get away from Thatcher, even if it is just for a couple hours.

*

Her Grandma has a dog {Killer} who is pretty entertaining. And last time we went to Lindsey's Grandma's house there was kittens! Someone came and took the kittens {and their momma} up the road, they went inside for 10 minutes and came back out and they were all gone. Well about 30 minutes later they were all out on the back porch trying to get in!!

2. Someone left me a nice note a few weeks ago. I came out to my car after choir and someone wrote on a napkin "Hi! I hope you have a good day! <3 you!" and it was stuck under one of the windshield wipers. I don't know who did it, but whoever it is totally made my day! :)

I got to go home Easter weekend!
The weekend involved:
*a roadtrip with Lindsey
*Lexi & Andrew's wedding reception
*Venicia's pizza
*Watching the last 2 Harry Potter movies
*Shopping with Katie & mom
*Going with mom to get our nails done
*And of course, Easter :)

3. I went and sat at the Temple grounds...it's a good place to sit and think..

Katie practiced the "Katnis" braid on my hair...

 *

I did the Pat Tillman run!! I didn't run any of it but it was such a fun experience, I know I will for sure be doing it again :)

When I was home last weekend our sweet home teacher brought us our favorite cookie as birthday treats.

I got to see the crazy Florian kiddos!! They came over to wish my mom a happy birthday and I got to entertain them with my camera so they wouldn't get into the different projects going on in our house.

Last weekend when I was home I'm pretty sure I didn't get more than 12 hours of sleep the entire weekend. That's when I did the Pat Tillman run, Katie & I cleaned my mom's office for her birthday and I got suckered into helping Katie with a project she procrastinated on. I think it turned out pretty good though, if I do say so myself :)

I got a letter from Elder Norton!!! I was so happy! I miss that kid so much! Thatcher is just not the same without him but I know he is going to be an awesome missionary :)

And Spring Sing was this week. Tech rehearsal Wednesday night, concerts Thursday & Friday nights and then a concert this afternoon. I love being in choir but I am so exhausted. This years Spring Sing has brought up a lot of memories to so it's been a little emotional. My mom came up for the concert today and afterwards we went to La Casita for dinner :) I'm so grateful that my mom supports me and is willing to make the 5 hour trip to come watch me sing for 10 minutes.

Well that's a little summary of what I've been up too, hope you enjoyed!!

A Week of Birthdays

We have been celebrating birthdays all week at our house :)
It all started Wednesday {March 28th} I had asked Dee if she wanted to play raquette ball with me and she said she wanted to but needed to go to Walmart first. So when she got back we went down to the courts and the lights were off so we ended up walking around the track. I thought we would do 4 laps but we kept going and going and going. Finally we headed back home and when we got home there was a "Happy Birthday" banner on the door and when we walked in the house was decorated with balloons and my two other roommates {Summer & Nicole} had made cupcakes.

It was such a fun surprise! I kind of knew something was going on but I didn't think anything was going to happen till the weekend.

Me with two of my cute roomies! The other one is behind the camera :)

Then on Friday, me and some friends {Lindsey, Nicole & Josh} went out to Cluff Ponds. Unfortunately I don't have pics from that but it was so fun. Everyone but Lindsey jumped off the rope into the freezing cold water. I'm so glad we ended going to the ponds instead of the mountain :)

Saturday, the actual day of my birth, I woke up to this:

So sweet, huh? I seriously have the best roommates EVER!!

I watched the second session of conference with Summer and then when Lindsey got off work the three of us went to Denny's for my free birthday Grand Slam!!

After Denny's, Lindsey took me to Walmart to pick out a birthday present and then we just hung out at my house the rest of the night. It was a fun way to spend my birthday :)
I can't believe I'm 20!!

Five days after my birthday {today} was Dee's 22nd birthday. Summer and I hatched out a plan to take her to Denny's and then when we got home the house would be decorated and friends would be there. So we went to Denny's and came home to this

*Side story: Theo & Cadre come over ever Monday night and we are always so we told them the next time they came over we would wear dresses and we did so they said they would wear suits for us one time.

So Cadre & Theo were in suits and so we talked about going to get ice cream all dressed up but that would require all the girls to get ready plus I had made a pure ice cream cake for Dee {she doesn't like cake, weird huh?} so I had to break that out before we went to get ice cream. The girls ended up putting dresses on but instead of going to get ice cream, we took pictures and walked around campus.

Summer & I all dressed up

Cute roomies!!

The group who walked around Thatcher on a Thursday night all dressed up.
It was a fun night! I hope Dee enjoyed her birthday!!

My favorite picture from the night!
Nicole: "Ok, Cadre & Theo, kiss Dee on the cheeck!"
Theo: "Oh that'll turn me red!!"
HILARIOUS! :)

Spring Break 2012

Spring Break this year was pretty relaxed. I went home on March 16 and didn't come back to Thatcher till the 19th.
My week home involved shopping, going to my friend Craig's homecoming talk {he got back from his mission}, getting a cavity filled which ended up in me getting practically a whole new tooth, celebrated my friend Emily's birthday at Applebee's, going to the midnight showing of The Hunger Games, getting a new muffler on my car and catching up on my shows.

 {one of my new outfits}
The first Saturday I was home my mom decided I needed some new clothes so we went to Ross, Burlington Coat Factory and Payless- I was definitely feeling a little bit spoiled :)
I also got an iPhone and was introduced to Five Guys!
Monday I took my car to go get fixed and then walked home. It had been raining so it was nice and cool and absolutely beautiful outside!!
Then I had an appointment to get a cavity filled at 9am Monday morning. I was totall fine getting there and I was freaking out about anything, not even the needle! The assistant gave me the topical numbing stuff and then a few minutes later the dental hygienist, who happens to be one of my mom's friends, came in with the shot. After they all left my whole body went numb and I knew exactly what was going to happen...I passed out right there in the chair!! I don't know why it happened and I have no idea how long I was out but I know I woke up on my own. Kinda crazy!! Anyways, so once they got working on my tooth the cavity was much bigger than they thought so I pretty much ended up getting a new tooth. It was quite an eventful day!
Wednesday I went to visit Lion Cubs Preschool- it is so sad to not know any of the kids there anymore :( After I was done at the preschool I went to go visit my old tech writing teacher Mrs. Buffington and we talked for about an hour. Later that night I went to Serrano's with my mom and then went to Applebee's where I celebrated my friend Emily's birthday with her and some of her other friends. It was so fun! Right before we left Emily & I got to sing Karaoke. We sang Tick Tock by Ke$ha- you can watch that video here.

Thursday I got to pick my car up and we took it to get a new muffler- it doesn't sound like a generator anymore!! YAY!! And then I took it to get cleaned, my car looked so purty :)
Then later that night I went to the midnight showing of Th Hunger Games with Emily & Craig and some of their friends. Cortney ended up coming and using someone's extra ticket. It was such a good movie! I loved it!!
It was such a fun Spring Break! :)

I mean who wouldn't have fun going to an insitute dance, going for a walk and making a fort?? :) Hopefully this semester continues being a good one!!

Congrats Cortney Shea!

Cortney was one of my roommates my very first year at EAC. I was a shy, out of my element freshman and she was a wise 2nd Block nursing student. We had many runs for pizza or french fries and many many late night conversations through out the 3 semester we were at EA together. On December 16th, she finally graduated the nursing program and I am so excited for her!! She is going to be one heck of a nurse :) I love this girl so much!! She is like the big sister I never had :)

New Hair

During finals week Cortney and I decided to go down to the beauty college to get our hair trimmed. The past few times I trimmed my hair I've thought about cutting it, like really REALLY cutting it, but I always chicken out. Well, Cort talked me into it.
I left my house looking like this....

...and came home looking like this!

Drastic change huh?! I'm loving it though!! It is so much faster to blow dry, it's easier to scrunch plus I can still put it in a pony tail! :)
