Congrats Cortney Shea!

Cortney was one of my roommates my very first year at EAC. I was a shy, out of my element freshman and she was a wise 2nd Block nursing student. We had many runs for pizza or french fries and many many late night conversations through out the 3 semester we were at EA together. On December 16th, she finally graduated the nursing program and I am so excited for her!! She is going to be one heck of a nurse :) I love this girl so much!! She is like the big sister I never had :)

New Hair

During finals week Cortney and I decided to go down to the beauty college to get our hair trimmed. The past few times I trimmed my hair I've thought about cutting it, like really REALLY cutting it, but I always chicken out. Well, Cort talked me into it.

Drastic change huh?! I'm loving it though!! It is so much faster to blow dry, it's easier to scrunch plus I can still put it in a pony tail! :)

Wrapping up the End of Last Semester

So the end of the semester got kinda crazy, but I did manage to do a few fun things here and there :)

Dee, Lindsey and I had a two night sleepover. The first night we all slept at my house and the second night we slept at Dee's. The second night also happened to be 11/11/11 so we celebrated with our own little dance party in the kitchen at 11:11pm.

The day before Thanksgiving I was taking my roommate home and we were at Power and Baseline and I was in a fender bender. The car in front of the truck that I was behind did something stupid cause we slammed on our breaks right after the intersection, my breaks just didn't work on time. Luckily everyone is ok though! The truck I hit didn't even have a scratch on it, my poor little car got the worst of it.

One day after church Lindsey, Dathan and I decided to go hang out on Mount Graham and it was such a blast! We brought up pizza, snacks and watched Dumb & Dumber on the laptop. Of course we goofed off and took pictures first.

Right before the semester was over Dathan and Lindsey came over and Dathan brought his Deadmau5 mask and he even let me try it on!!

We decided that we needed to make a midnight run to Denny's and we brought along the mask. It was such a fun night! I'm pretty sure I have some of the best friends EVER!!

Among the little drama there was, I would have to say that I ended the semester pretty good!!

Blogging from an iPad

I promise that I will update about the important stuff I've been up to like getting in a tiny accident, Cortney graduating from nursing school, going to FHE where my friend got 3 dates and the Christmas party I went to on Saturday but for now I'm chillin on a queen size mattress and using my dad's iPad to blog-- I feel so technologically advanced right now :)

I should probably go to bed now though since I'm running on 3 hours of sleep & am starting to get slap happy. Goodnight peoples!!

Drastic Change

The past few times I've gone to get my hair done I have thought about cutting it shorter and I finally did it and so far I love it!! Blow drying takes way less time now :)

Passout

So a couple weeks ago, November 9th to be exact, I was sitting in Anatomy when Mrs. G starts talking about getting a spinal block. Well the person giving it to her kept hitting the wrong spot so they had to do it like 5 times. Well I started freaking out cause I mean, what if that ever happened to me. I don't like needles. Never have and never will! Anyways, it was just a bad combo. I started feeling light headed and thought to myself "oh no!" I didn't want to get up and collapse so I put my head on the desk. The next thing I know Mrs. G has her arm around me and is holding me up. My thoughts were somthing along the lines of "Crap! I did it AGAIN!!" I was so embarassed. Two boys, Shannon King and Brent Something-or-other, took me home. For that I was grateful. I was supposed to have Lab at 1pm that day but was too scared to face my classmates. Luckily, my teacher is pretty amazing and let me come to her office to take the quiz the next day. Oh my gosh, if I pass out because she's talking about needles I don't know how I'm gonna do it next semester when we're going to have cadavers....

Happy Halloween

Halloween was on a Monday this year but we still found a way to celebrate.
We {Cortney, Dee, Barbara, Cadre & I} dressed up and went to Denny's. Then we ended up going to the Goodman Apartments' party for a little bit.

After the party we went back to Dee, Cortney and Barbara's house and had our own little dance party. Oh and we played the box game....

The goal of the game is to keep picking the box up with your mouth with ONLY your feet touching the floor. Muscles I didn't know I have are still sore! So besides the soreness, Halloween was pretty awesome this year :)

Fall Sing & A Surprise

Wednesday: Tech Rehearsal. Thursday: Concert. Friday: Concert. Saturday: Concert.
It was a busy week but oh so fun!!
Thursday, I got a surprise before the concert but I'll write about that in a little bit.
Friday, concert went good. Women's Choral could have done better but oh well. After the concert, I got pizza and soda for me and Cortney and we hung out.
Saturday, my mom and her friend Kay came. I was happy they were able to come. After the concert we went to Casa Manana and then went to the ice cream caboose next to my house.

Ok so I bet your wondering about my surprise Thursday night. Here goes...
So I was at Dee's house and she was doing my hair for Fall Sing and we're talkin. I told her how it was weird Derrick wasn't there at tech rehearsal the night before and she said I should call him afterwards and tell him we missed him. She asked if I liked surprises. And she asked me other random questions {Dee's really good at random questions}
Anyways, I go home to finish doing my makeup and getting ready. Well I'm about to leave, but I have to take a picture on my phone so I can send it to my parents. In the middle of taking my picture Derrick Fenn calls me. I thought it was weird cause he never ever calls me. I thought maybe he was trying to call me back about my text a couple days before hand...I didn't have time to talk so I hit the quiet button, finish taking the pic, send it to my dad. As I'm about to head out, my roommate Kellie comes into our room and says: "Hey Sara, come here I want to show you something...oh you look pretty!!" I was super confused and thought it was just something on our white board. So I follow her our of our room....

I couldn't believe my eyes!! Only Dee and Keaton knew he was coming, I can't believe how good those two are at keeping secrets.
It was probably the best surprise I have ever gotten!! :) And it made Fall Sing week that much better :)

Even though I didn't get to hang out with him that much, I'm so happy he came and that he choose to surprise me. We definitely miss this kid!

Dancw Party & Halloween Date

October 14th we had a dance party at our house. I was only there for about 30 minutes....I'm not a good dancer nor do I pretend to be good so I went to go hang out at Dee & Cortney's. From what I heard it was a pretty fun party though :)

The next day, October 15th, we did a Halloween date at Dee's. It ended up being a ton of fun!! Each couple dressed up and we played games and some of us stayed and watched a movie afterwards.

We started off by eating pizza and playing Kiss the Hottie.

So Barbara, Dee & Cortney's roomie, played a trick on Allan {aka: her brother & my date} On Kiss the Hottie she flipped the board around to the guy silhoutte. Allan ended up kissing it right on the lips!! Mean, yes. But SOOOO funny!!

We also played Hey That's My Guy/Chick and the doughnut game.

Later we played games like What If, The Question Game and Big Booty {we should have recorded that one!!} It was definitly one of the best nights ever!!

EAC's Homecoming & A Tri[ to St. David

Homecoming week was fun. EAC won the game against MCC- WHOO HOO!! After the game there was a bonfire, pizza and fireworks at the baseball field.

I also got to go home with Dee. It was such a blast!! We watched St. David's homecoming parade, took down the float, watched the homecoming game, made enough pancakes to feed an army, made sugar cookies, I tried to rope, went for a quad ride- seriously it was so fun! The Handcock's are an amazing family!

So Lexi {my roommate}, Dathan {friend} and I went out to Solomon and Lexi took pictures for photography class. It was so fun!! I had just gotten home from cleaning- hence the reason I look like a rugrat. Anyways, we drove out to the middle of no where and found this little junk yard. Lexi got the coolest pictures from it- enjoy!!

New Blog

So the first couple week back to school were hard. I didn't even get settled till 3 weeks into school. Through the experiences I've gone through I've been able to realize who my true friends are and who I can always count on. I love the house I'm at now and my roommates are so fun!! I started this blog because I figured the other blog I wrote was more high school, this blog will be about college and up till whenever I get married :)
